Career
My professional, academic and scientific career is fundamentally formed by the German vocational training and educational system. After successfully graduating from grammar school (Gesamtschule in Obersberg, Germany (1992–1998)), I trained as a carpenter at the joinery Röhner (1998–2001). After completing my dual vocational training, I attended Ferdinand-Braun-Schule, an academic vocational secondary school specializing in technology and technical engineering in Fulda (2002–2005). After this, I obtained my Bachelor of Science’s Degree in Technical Education majoring in wood technology (2005–2008) as well as my degree of Master of Education for Vocational Schools (2008-2010) at Leibniz University Hannover majoring in wood technology and mathematics. After my studies, I took a position as research assistant within the department of technical education at Technical University Darmstadt (2010–2013). Since my successfully obtained doctorate in 2013, I functioned as head research assistant and postdoctoral researcher in technical education (2014–2015). In October 2015, I was appointed to and worked at the Junior Professorship of Technical Education at University of Siegen.
Since November 1, 2018, I am head at the Assistant Professorship of Technical Education at TUM School of Social Sciences and Technology.
