Hybrid-Learn (BMBF)

Professionalisation approach for the development and implementation of hybrid teaching and learning concepts in vocational education.

The project "Hybrid-Learn" has been funded since October 2021 within the framework of the BMBF announcement "Initiative National Education Platform". The joint project - coordinated by the TUM Technology Didactics Department - is assigned to the target perspective 2 "Development of methodological knowledge and digital competences on the part of teachers through the development of digital teaching/learning scenarios". Together with the technology didactics department of the TU Darmstadt, a professionalisation approach for the development and implementation of hybrid teaching and learning concepts in vocational education is being developed and integrated into the national education platform. In addition to the two technical universities, the Hessian Ministry of Education and the ALP (Academy for Teacher Training and Personnel Management) Dillingen and StMUK (Bavarian Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs) are involved in the project.

The project "Hybrid-Learn" addresses the moderated provision of a multifunctional usable teacher training for the conception and handling of hybrid - digitally represented, temporally and spatially flexible - teaching and instruction concepts in vocational education. This in-service training focuses on the development of didactic and methodological competences of teachers. The hybrid learning training approach is therefore designed in such a way that the teachers in the professionalisation process use exactly those methods that they will use in school learning environments. Thus, the envisaged test case is methodologically and conceptually directly oriented to the training object of hybrid teaching and learning concepts.

The overall Hybrid-Learn approach is divided into a conception phase - content and structural preparation as well as technical-infrastructural preparation of the test case and scientific monitoring and evaluation with prototypical test run - and an implementation phase - consolidation and expansion of the training formats in the network structures. The conception and implementation phases integrate coherent and consistent...

  • Innovation - Added value in terms of content and didactic-methodological aspects in the development of vocational competences via innovative, hybrid teaching and learning concepts
  • Interface - Technical-infrastructural aspects to ensure interoperability and connectivity with the National Education Platform
  • Reach - Implementation, use and transfer with iterative optimisation cycles within and outside the structures of the Hybrid-Learn network partners
