Career

After graduating secondary school at the Albert-Schweizer-Realschule in Regensburg, I successfully completed my training as an electrical machine fitter at the company Starkstrom Gerätebau GmbH from 2000 to 2004. Two years later, I graduated from the Berufsoberschule (vocational high school) with the specialized university entrance qualification, and then went to the Technical University in Munich in 2007. There I decided to study teaching electrical an information technology in combination with social studies at vocational schools, which I completed in 2012 as a certified vocational teacher. This was followed by a two-year traineeship at the Studienseminar für das berufliche Lehramt in Bayern at schools in Munich, Erding and Kempten. Since my appointment as a student councelor in 2014, I have been teaching automation- and mechatronics technology in classes of the vocational specializations electrical engineering and mechatronics technology, at the Staatliche Berufsschule I Kempten. In addition, I have been able to support the Studienseminar Bayern as a module provider in the training of student teachers in recent years. Since 2022, I have been partially seconded as a research assistant at the Professorship of Technical Education at Technical University of Munich, where I contribute to strengthen the improvement of the practical relevance of teacher training.
