Young researchers

Based on the need identified at national level, another great focus of research in the field of technical education is on promoting young scientists with different starting dispositions at different levels.

We supervise bachelor and master theses by future teachers for vocational schools, colleges and vocational upper secondary school (e.g. technical upper secondary school). Student works and projects can be found throughout the entire working range, they participate in projects (Bachelor) and work on independent empirical (sub-) studies on technical and educational questions.

Academic young scientists are promoted by empirical qualification work at a high level (doctorates and possibly habilitations). This includes genuinely technical-educational, but also interdisciplinary questions of other faculties, e. g. university studies concerning education and teaching methodology. Our PhD students are vocational teachers, psychologists and engineers.
