From June 18th to 20th, Ethiopian Minister HE Ms. Muferihat Kamil (Ministry for Labor and Skills), State Minister HE Dr. Teshale Berecha along with a delegation visited the TUM Professorship of Technical Education. In addition to several days of substantive exchange at the TUM Think Tank, the program included a visit to Vocational School I in Traunstein and a tour of Holzbau Hartl, a cooperating training company.
Another highlight of the visit was a "Marketplace," which provided the delegation with the opportunity for structured exchanges with all relevant stakeholders. During this event, important developments regarding the future of Vocational Education and Training (VET) were discussed. The exchange involved representatives from chambers of commerce, the private sector, various government institutions, the Bavarian Ministry of Education and Culture, the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, as well as KfW. A central point of this exchange was the TRIX approach presented by Prof. Daniel Pittich. The TRIX approach emphasizes holistic development of VET, spanning from political levels to concrete on-site teaching.
