Over the past few years, I have been involved in the adaption, development and validation of various measurement methods of assessing financial and economic competencies, facets of knowledge and understanding. We have used these to examine and systematize the factors influencing the respective outcome variables. Currently, we are investigating how complex problem solving skills in complex financial and economic decision making situations can be theoretically modeled as well as optimally measured. The developed scenarios can also be perfectly used as complex teaching materials.

The PhD Project of Andreas Kraitzek also falls into this research area.
