EuroTeQ Engineering University - European Engineering Education of the Future
Responsible engineers do not only need an excellent technical education, but also an understanding of societal developments. As part of the EU-funded project "EuroTeQ Engineering University", TUM is bundling its expertise with five other technical universities (DTU, I'X, TalTech, CTU, TU/e) to create a Europe-wide educational program for engineering students, professionals and lifelong learners together with these international partners. In addition to a digital campus and the opportunity to participate in international courses, the new learning environment also includes innovative learning formats such as hackathons (Collider), in which students work together with partners from the local ecosystem (e.g. companies) to solve current challenges.
In order to realize this vision, TUM is actively involved in the design of the EuroTeQ Engineering University through participation in various work packages, for example in the coordination of the project as well as the development, implementation and evaluation of courses. The Chair of Business, Economics and Vocational Education as part of work package 5 focuses on the joint coordination of monitoring and research activities (EuroTeQ Connector) as well as the organization of the "Lobbying for Change Event Series" (for more information see: EuroTeQ: Educating responsible professionals in Europe - EuroTech Universities Alliance ). Furthermore, the conception and implementation of joint research projects in cooperation with scientists from the other EuroTeQ universities is planned. One focus, for example, will be on the development of attitudes and values of EuroTeQ students.
