On October 14th and 15th, 2021, the kick-off event of the AFin research network took place in Munich.

The public keynotes, which were additionally streamed live as hybrid events due to the Covid-19 situation, were attended not only by the members of the network but also by numerous external interested parties. Verena Zepter from the debt counseling of Caritas Erlangen as well as Prof. em. William Walstad from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln could be won as keynote speakers. In the course of the internal workshops, initial ideas were developed for systematizing and categorizing existing concepts and content areas for financial literacy and financial education.

The next meeting will be held in Mannheim, Germany, in March 2022.
