On March 24, 2025, TUM hosted a Skyline Lecture on region-specific networking in Bavaria. Around 50 stakeholders in vocational education and training in Bavaria accepted the invitation and gathered for the Skyline Lecture at the Technical University of Munich. Representatives from industry and academia engaged in intensive discussions with representatives from state institutes and ministries. The focus of the day was on networking and the joint further development of vocational training in Bavaria. Guests were welcomed by Mdgt. Dr. Robert Geiger (Head of the Vocational Schools Department at the Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs), Prof. Dr. Daniel Pittich (Professor of Technology Didactics, Technical University of Munich), Prof. Dr. Karl Wilbers (Chair of Business Education and Human Resource Development, FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg), and Prof. Dr. Karl-Heinz Gerholz (Professor of Business Education, University of Bamberg). In exciting discussion rounds, participants were able to exchange ideas on specific topics such as the needs-based professionalization of teachers or the challenges of digital change in vocational schools. The event concluded with a summary of the topics and an informal exchange with all participants.
