As AI systems, adaptive platforms, and data-driven decision tools become more embedded in educational environments, teachers are not only expected to use these technologies effectively but also to understand the data processes behind them. This includes understanding basic concepts such as classification, prediction, and decision trees. These processes are often highly abstract and technically complex, making them difficult to understand without appropriate support.
In DigiProMIN Project, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Maria Bannert (LLDM) and Prof. Dr. Enkelejda Kasneci (HCTL), we developed a data literacy training within an immersive-VR envrionment tailored to teachers’ needs. We aim to support teachers to effectively use VR-technology, enhance data literacy, and foster positive attitudes toward teaching with digital media. The training materials are online on https://lernen.digital/. If you are interested in exploring this VR-platform, please contact us: studie.vr.lldm(at)sot.tum.de
