Most of our team members will share their research at the 11th International Conference of EARLI SIG16 on Metacognition and Self-Regulated Learning for Research on Learning and Instruction in Heidelberg, Germany, from 11th to 13th September 2024. This year's conference theme is ‘Empowering Learners and Shaping the Future of Education.’, which we address first through an organised symposium about advancing self-regulated learning (SRL) through generative artificial intelligence (Gen-AI) with advanced learning technologies. Our second organised symposium delves into students’ SRL behaviours in technology-enhanced environments and features our team members’ contributions regarding students’ interactions with adaptive scaffolds. In another symposium, we will present recent research about SRL training in secondary schools and their effects on learning. Furthermore, our team's research in virtual reality and collaborative learning will be presented at a symposium, followed by a poster presentation representing our research on VR training on data literacy.
This participation is part of our ongoing commitment to exploring and sharing insights into metacognition and self-regulated learning. We look forward to engaging with fellow researchers and bringing back valuable knowledge to further our work.
