Our Profile

Mathematics education focuses on the learning and teaching of mathematics. It is an interdisciplinary research discipline and closely connected to mathematics, pedagogy, pedagogical psychology, and educational research in other domains. Our research group focusses on understanding and supporting mathematical thinking and learning processes. Most projects are interdisciplinary and aim at connecting basic cognitive research with educational practice. To that end, we often use a variety of research methods, including traditional methods as well as measures of reaction times and eye movements.
