Biosketch

Dr. Katrin Neubauer has been a research assistant the Chair of Formal and Informal Learning at the TUM School of Social Sciences and Technology since January 2010. After studying education, educational psychology, and statistics at Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, she was a research assistant at the Chair of Empirical Education and Educational Psychology (Prof. Dr. Frank Fischer) at LMU Munich from 2008-2010 and moved to TU Munich in 2010. In her dissertation (2010-2015), she investigated the motivational and cognitive effects of different types of school class visits to the Museum of Science and Technology to promote a basic science education for students (supervised by Prof. Dr. Doris Lewalter & Prof. Dr. Annette Noschka-Roos). Since completing her doctorate, she has been working on several research projects, such as "Teach@TUM" of the BMBF's Quality Offensive Teacher Education, "Camera Glasses as a Qualitative Survey Instrument in Museums", in addition to her teaching activities in teacher education.
