About the project
Nowadays, we encounter artificial intelligence (AI) everywhere. It is used in our smartphones and cars and is employed in healthcare. How does our mobile phone know which song we want to listen to? How can cars drive autonomously? How can computer systems recognise whether a person is ill or not? Sounds like magic? Exploring the world of AI is a MOOC on the subject of artificial intelligence. In this course, we will discover the basics and ideas behind AI. Together, we will work out what artificial intelligence means, how a computer can learn to play a game, and what distinguishes symbolic AI from machine learning. We will explore different types of machine learning to predict whether our digital monkeys will bite, or to get rich by searching for gold in the Wild West. We will also take a look at the social consequences of artificial intelligence and discuss whether machines can really think and what impact AI has on our society. If you would like to teach AI to others, we have prepared some ideas and teaching materials for you. Join us on a journey through the fascinating world of artificial intelligence.
