Academic Service
Our team is actively involved in a range of academic service areas, especially related to equity in STEM learning. To share research insights with the public and to foster research practice partnerships, we are actively involved in educational partnerships (Soft Robotics workshop at Munich International School; Equity and Education, Consulting for Dr. Pepe Alcami at LMU; Computational Crafting @ TUM, a workshop series for families of the city of Garching and the surrounding areas; Computational Crafting Lab gallery tour for Israeli Palestinian women delegation). This involves mentoring at school and out-of-school learning environments, and designing and facilitating workshops across the K-16 spectrum. We collaborate internationally with industry partners, non-profit organizations, and foundations.

Co-Chair of the International Society of the Learning Sciences (ISLS) Doctoral Consortium
The ISLS Doctoral Consortium, designed to support the growth of emerging talents working in the learning sciences or computer-supported collaborative learning (CSCL), provides an opportunity for advanced Ph.D. students to share their dissertation research with their peers and a panel of faculty serving as mentors. Participants will engage in collaborative inquiry and scholarly discourse to improve their dissertation work and to advance their understanding of the field.

Co-chaired by Anna Keune and David Stroupe, the Publications Committee develops editorial and publications policies. Among other initiatives, the Publications Committee maintains the ISLS Publications FAQ. The Publciations Committee is looking for members. Guest Editor of Digital Culture & Education (DCE) Special Edition: Advancing Posthuman Methodological Approaches in the Study of Learning
With this special edition, we aim to contribute to a fuller understanding of the study of teaching and learning by bringing together a multitude of posthumanist approaches related to the following themes and beyond: (1) Digital and socio-material ethico-onto-epistemologies, (2) materiality of studying teaching and learning, (3) decolonial and indigenous research practices, (4) sustainable and ecological relationships.
