Teacher-student interaction

Based on video recordings of math and German lessons, the project takes a closer look at the conditions of teacher-student interactions. While mainly taking into account the migration background of students the secondary analyses conducted, also include the students' perceptions of different teaching characteristics.

Teacher-student interactions are key to students' development. This project aims to find out which factors favour teacher-student interactions. The focus is on student characteristics such as migration background, but also on student perceptions of different teaching characteristics. The basis of the study is data from video recordings of mathematics and German lessons.
