Outreach
Our outreach brings human-centered AI and immersive learning technologies out of the lab and into the hands of learners and the public. We run hands-on AI and VR workshops in partner schools, partner with foundations to promote digital inclusion, stage gamified demos at museums and community events, and share accessible tutorials and project showcases on our YouTube and X channels. By engaging audiences of all ages, we empower everyone with the skills and insights to thrive in tomorrow’s media-rich world.
Creative with AI at Schloss Elmau

At Schloss Elmau, we contribute to the Edutainment program with our workshop “Creative with AI.”
In the workshop, children expand their creativity and discover how AI can spark new ideas. By experimenting with AI tools, they’ll explore how technology can help solve real-world challenges. Working together in groups, they’ll tackle exciting tasks and learn from one another.
The goal is to encourage children to see technology as a powerful tool for learning and creativity. The workshop is designed to spark curiosity, inspire exploration, and open the door to the fascinating world of artificial intelligence.
Girl's Day

What can artificial intelligence do, and how does it impact our lives?
Our chair participated on the Girls' Day, represented by Dr. Nađa Terzimehić and Isabel Schorr, where more than 30 female students explored the practical applications of AI at the TUM Think Tank of the Munich School of Politics through hands-on workshops hosted by the EdTech Center. They engaged in immersive experiences such as a virtual space station puzzle, AI-generated art creation, and animating characters in film, making the world of AI tangible and inspiring interest in traditionally male-dominated fields.
The event also highlighted the interdisciplinary Bachelor's program in Political Science at HfP, which blends classical political science with technology-focused subjects like AI and energy. Launched in 2023, the TUM EdTech Center continues to innovate in digital education, promoting future-ready learning.
Women in Data Science | Munich 2023

At the WiDS Munich 2023 Conference, we joined a vibrant community of data science enthusiasts and professionals to celebrate the contributions of women in the field. The event featured a series of engaging presentations, highlighting topics such as AI and robotics, as well as different career paths across academia and industry.
Bringing together speakers from institutions like TUM and LMU alongside experts from leading companies, the conference offered a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and networking. It was an inspiring day filled with insights, conversations, and connections that underscore the dynamic and diverse nature of data science.
