On the 15^th of October 2019, Prof. Holzberger and Lisa Ziernwald were at the Academy for Teacher Training and Personnel Management in Dillingen (click here for more) as part of a course aimed at the Bavarian competence centers for promoting outstanding pupils. Prof. Holzberger and Lisa Ziernwald gave a lecture on the topic "Promoting High Performing Students in Regular Classrooms - A Research Synthesis" which transpired into a lively exchange with the teachers, principals and ministerial representatives present. The presentation focused on the results of the research synthesis. For those attending, the concluding discussion brought the significance of research in the school context and the difficulties of implementing research knowledge into practice to the forefront. A successful exchange between science and practice occured on equal terms.
