DigiProMIN

Description
DigiProMIN (digitalisierungsbezogene und digital gestützte Professionalisierung von MIN-Lehrkräften) is a collaborative project involving eight national universities, aiming to develop a digitalization-related framework to promote the professional development of STEM teachers. Our team focuses on creating immersive VR-based training modules to foster data literacy in STEM teacher education. These innovative training environments are aligned with the data lifecycle and provide hands-on experiences in an object classification scenario using decision trees. This practical approach empowers educators to build foundational data skills relevant to modern educational contexts. Our implementation incorporates real-time interactive AI avatars, enabling participants to receive instant feedback and personalized support. To ensure broad accessibility and scalability, we also develop a browser-based version of the VR training. This web version retains the core elements of the immersive experience while facilitating easier integration into diverse school environments, making the training more widely available to educators across different regions and technical settings.
