The new SHARP website is now live!
SHARP is Germany’s first Transregio Collaborative Research Centre in educational research funded by the German National Science Foundation (DFG). Since October 2025, more than 80 researchers from four institutions and different disciplines have been working together to gain a fundamental understanding of and further develop teaching and learning with simulations in higher education.
The newly launched website offers an overview of the Collaborative Research Centre, its goals, project areas, and participating institutions.
Our Chair is actively involved in the subprojects A04, B02, and C03. Prof. Dr. Maria Bannert serves as Principal Investigator across all three projects, supported by the research associates Annabel Wolf, Deisy Montenegro-Briceño, and Mevsim Küçükakyüz. Within SHARP, our team contributes to the development of personalized simulations that support future computer science teachers in diagnosing and addressing students’ programming and debugging challenges (A04), explores personalized support for the development of collaborative intervention skills in medicine (B02), and investigates the effects of personalized simulations in teacher education on promoting advanced professional vision (C03).
