Research contributions at EARLI SIG16 Metacognition 2026
Most members of our research lab will present their research at the 12th EARLI SIG 16 “Metacognition and Self-Regulated Learning” Biennial International Conference in Clermont-Ferrand, France, from 26 to 28 August 2026 (https://earlisig162026.sciencesconf.org/ ). This year’s conference theme is “Learning, Teaching and Training: Realising Potential Throughout Life.” Our contributions span self-regulated and metacognitive learning across adolescent and teacher learning in technology-enhanced environments. Two contributions focus on feedback within adolescents’ SRL training: one examines feedback specificity and its effects on learning processes and outcomes, while another investigates how adolescents engage with adaptive SRL feedback. Another contribution addresses prompts for learning regulation in collaborative virtual reality. We also have two poster presentations on teachers’ metacognitive regulation of diagnostic reasoning in video-based simulations, and Eye Movement Modeling Examples (EMMEs) for fostering teachers’ metacognitive professional vision in classroom simulations.
This participation reflects our continued engagement with research on metacognition and self-regulated learning. We look forward to exchanging ideas with colleagues and gaining new perspectives that can inform our future work.
