Successful Implementation of Learning Stations in Vocational Practice
news-fdeh |
At each of the two locations, six students designed a learning stations activity on the topics of hygiene, allergies, and intolerances for students in grades 11 and 12. The university students independently took responsibility for planning, conducting, and supporting a total of three lessons.
The learning stations were characterised by varied, activity-based tasks. In addition to traditional analogue activities, digitally supported learning opportunities involving AI were also used. These were complemented by interactive puzzle stations in which the school students took on the role of detectives and worked together to develop solutions.
For the university students, the project offered the opportunity to gain valuable experience in lesson design, to explore their role as teachers, and to become familiar with both the opportunities and challenges of team teaching. At the same time, the school students gained practical insight into learning stations as a comprehensive teaching method and were able to engage with the content in a varied and activating way.
